As President of the International Society for Orthomolecular Medicine (ISOM), Atsuo Yanagisawa, M.D., Ph.D. is a pioneer in intravenous vitamin C education and treatment and a global leader in the introduction of high-dose vitamin C intravenous therapy for the effective treatment of the Covid-19 virus and other life-threatening illnesses.
On March 3, 2020, Dr. Yanagisawa held an international press conference in Tokyo, Japan on “Orthomolecular Prevention and Treatment for New Coronavirus COVID-19 Infection”, to disseminate life-saving information to media and health care professionals focused on specific micronutrients recommended by ISOM for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19. Dr. Yanagisawa’s significant contribution as a pioneer in Intravenous Therapy in Japan earned him a place in the Orthomolecular Medicine Hall of Fame in 2011. He was a 2014 recipient of the Riordan Clinic’s “Pearl Maker Award” and “Antoine Béchamp Award”, which recognizes individuals for their actions to further the mission of stimulating an epidemic of health worldwide. In 2016, he received an award of “Excelencia Academica” at The Seventh World Congress of Neural Therapy.
